A-FAST and T-FAST

A comprehensive ultrasonographic exam can result very challenging and requires practice and experience. However, ultrasound can be also used in emergency situations, with the only purpose of ruling out or confirming free fluid, pneumothorax, pericardial effusion or even a large left atrium. This CPD is ideal for the GP willing to understand the principles of ultrasonography and feel comfortable to use it in urgent situations.
